Congregational Library & Archives: Digital Archive
The Congregational Library & Archives, a specialty library in Boston, announces the launch of its digital archive which contains over 100,000 images across more than 4,000 extraordinary historical records that illuminate New England history. Records from over 100 New England churches in 90 communities, with most records dating between 1634 and 1850, are freely available for those interested in learning more about the history of their state, community, or family.
The digital archive includes records from the Church of Christ in Westborough, now the Congregational Church of Westborough, and the personal papers of Reverend Ebenezer Parkman, first minister of the Westborough church, and his family. The "Westborough, Mass. Church of Christ records, 1724-1787" contains a single volume of church administrative records and the "Ebenezer Parkman papers, 1717-1782" and "Parkman family papers, 1712-1779" collections contain extensive personal records from Ebenezer Parkman and his family.
These records were digitized in partnership with the Westborough Public Library and the American Antiquarian Society.
