Almost all American Judaica published before 1801, more than three-quarters of what was published before 1820, and well over half of the imprints published through 1840 is held at AAS. For the later years, between 1841 and 1876, the Society’s holdings are more selective and represent about a quarter of the almost 1800 titles identified in Singerman’s bibliography for those 35 years.
